Kufis and prayer hat

For men, wearing kufi is the second most recognizable feature of Muslims, and the first is of course beard. Since Kufi is an identifying garment for Muslim clothing, it is helpful for a Muslim man to have many kufis so that he can wear a new dress every day. At Muslim American, we have dozens of styles for you to choose from, including a variety of knitted and embroidered Kufi hats. Many Muslim Americans wear them to follow the Prophet Muhammad (may he rest in peace), and others wear kufi to stand out in society and be recognized as Muslims. No matter what your reason is, we have styles suitable for all occasions.
What is Kufi?
Kufis are traditional and religious headscarves for Muslim men. Our beloved Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) is accustomed to covering his head at normal times and during worship. Many hadiths from different narrators express Muhammad’s diligence in covering his head, especially when praying. He wears a kufi cap and headscarf most of the time, and it is often said that his companions have never seen him without anything covering his head.

Allah reminds us in the Quran: “The Messenger of Allah undoubtedly provides you with an excellent example. Anyone hopes to hope in Allah and the end, [who] always remembers Allah.” (33:21) Many great scholars They all regard this verse as a reason to imitate the behavior of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) and to practice his teachings. By imitating the behavior of the prophet, we can hope to get closer to his way of life and purify our way of life. The act of imitation is an act of love, and those who love the Prophet will be blessed by Allah. Scholars have different opinions on whether covering the head is a hadith or just a culture. Some scholars classify the practice of our beloved prophet as Sunnah Ibada (practice with religious significance) and Sunnat al-’ada (practice based on culture). Scholars say that if we follow this approach, we will be rewarded, whether it is Sunnat Ibada or Sunnat A’da.

How many different Kufis are there?
Kufis vary by culture and fashion trends. Basically, any hood that fits closely to the head and does not have a brim that extends to block the sun can be called a kufi. Some cultures call it topi or kopi, and others call it taqiyah or tupi. No matter what you call it, the general form is the same, although the top hat is more likely to have decorations and detailed embroidery work.

What is the best color of Kufi?
Although many people choose black kufi skull caps, some people choose white Kufis. It is said that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) prefers white to anything else. There is no limit to the color, as long as it is suitable. You will see Kufi Caps in all possible colors.

Why do Muslims wear Kufi?
Muslims wear Kufi mainly because they admire God’s last and last messenger-the Prophet Muhammad (blessings and peace from the Lord) and his deeds. In most Asian countries such as India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Indonesia, and Malaysia, head covering is considered a sign of piety and religious belief. The shape, color and style of Muslim headgear vary from country to country. Use different names to call the same Kufi. In Indonesia, they call it Peci. In India and Pakistan, where Urdu is the main Muslim language, they call it Topi.
